Pompeii Unpublished: Sketches not permitted to be made...

I’ve never heard of Isis and pineapple having any sort of connection. As far as I understand, today it’s some sort of a spiritual thing. I’m not big on. Yet, them Pompeiians... haha. What did they know? Source

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

Well, it appears they went extinct. I think Marie-Antoinette might have been one of those individuals. Then again, some of her depictions display a different bridge. Who knows what's real? 1793: Marie Antoinette and Elongated Skulls Beheadings were allegedly reserved for the nobles. The...

Book | The New Chronology by Fomenko and Nosovskiy

This resonates with me to a degree. I am 100% failing to understand what happened between 1775 and 1915. From there, it's kinda similar to a fruit of the poisonous tree, in a way. Fomenko did some monumental research as far as dates go, but I'm not sure that events he dated reflect what really...

This is in reference to the mentioned 185 year shift. X-185 Chronology: Another mental map for the discovery of America As you guys know, I view Jesus Christ more like an event rather than a historical figure. As in… his 33 years of life were the years of some event duration. One of the...

Book | The New Chronology by Fomenko and Nosovskiy

@awarewolf, this is pretty fascinating. According to this, there are two existing manuscripts attributed to DE. Tracking down when either was mentioned for the first time could probably assist with establishing some sort of a time frame.

Comment by 'KorbenDallas' in media 'Roman Mosaic Showing the Transport of an Elephant'

I will try to adjust the size of the embedded images. As far as dwarf elephants go, if these are no normal African elephant babies, than we still have an issue. The Pleistocene: the epoch that lasted from c. 2.58 million to 11,700 years ago.

No changes. The gallery had never an option to upload images. I inquired at the xenforo source site, and they said it was not possible without a custom modification.

Insane Asylums of the United States, Canada, UK and the rest of the World

I actually went there trying to find it. Apparently the old one does not exist any longer. There is a cemetery in the vicinity, with very interesting gravestones belonging to the former residents. The new facility (whatever it's purpose is today) has some older, interesting looking buildings in...

1871 Great Chicago Fire: one image, one question...

The question pertaining to the mechanism of destruction still remains. I doubt that traditional urban fires destroyed these cities. At the same time, I doubt that people would go along with having these cities blown up. And even if they did, wouldn't we have some sort of records reflecting the...

Small Scale City Models. What do we know about them?

@Observer, the link you provided sure does raise some questions in my mind. Source A few days ago I ran into some miniature ship models with full size actual humans walking inside of those. As in wearing those ships around their waists while in the water. The ships looked pretty realistic...

    World Expositions: Phenomenal Attendance?
