Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

So jumping up from 12,000 years ago, I just noticed the same profile in the 1790s during the French Revolution. This can't just be an artistic convention. These depictions from from entirely different civilizations, thousands of years apart. Where did these people go?

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

I just was watching a Hugh Newman video about Karahan Tepe, which I guess is right nearby to Gobekli Tepe. It mentioned a carving of a head they had found at this Karahan Tepe. 'Well, look at that. Rather a straight looking bridge to his nose there.' So I just googled other head carvings and...

    The PTB History Fabrication Tools

Hi, Sorry, not being able to start threads I am just looking for a place to put this. I just tried to searching for this topic, but can't find anything. It is related to history fabrication. I was just reading something that mentioned that Alexander the Great founded around 70 cities that...

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

So chatgpt is getting better. Possibly another AI would do a better job, but I am not well informed on the ins and outs of AI search. I asked it again to provide a list of depictions of human faces more than 5,000 years old. I did -not- ask for faces with funny looking noses or anything. These...

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

From Head to Toe in the Ancient Maya World - Nasal Prostheses - Archaeology Magazine - July/August 2020 I just had an idea to see if chatgpt could search up any information. it really didn't. but without explanation, it kept saying that this straight bridge of the nose was considered noble or...

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

Just me again. Noticed another one looking at information about the Etruscan language. Still in the same general part of the world. Learning Etruscan tomba degli scudi tarquinia

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

That is a good idea, but the most recent one I saw looked very touchy. I wonder if they have people remark to them that they look a bit out of the ordinary. He didn't look like he wanted to talk. I was following a wiki rabbit hole and saw a picture of this guy Berossus from I guess Mesopotamia...

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

just passing through. I wanted to say now that I have begun to look for them, I have seen more of these people. Not a lot. But I would say possibly once every couple of months I will see someone with this profile. But I continue to have the same problem that it seems impractical to get a photo...

Comment by 'maxresde' in media 'Cathedral of St. John and St. Finbar (View 1)'

Hi, I searched around, but didn't really find a good thread to add this comment to. I just was reading a scholarly article about the ancient Mayans, and it was mentioning that for traders/travelers, looking from the top of their tall stone buildings that were taller than the surrounding trees...

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

Just wanted to put a note here, I saw one of these people in real life at the store the other day. The profile was very striking. You would never mistake it for something else. I wish it would be possible to get a photo, but it would be weird to ask a stranger to take their picture.

Atmospheric electricity and building destruction in the 19th century

I was just thinking recently, on the subject of atmospheric electricity, we know that even today you can extract electricity from the atmosphere with a long enough wire. I think this video shows someone extracting electricity with a long enough wire. In the video I saw on this subject way...

The forgotten people of Tahuglauk and Mozeemlek: 17th century North America

This is nothing much, but I just wanted to note, I was thinking of Mozeemlek the other day and I realized it sounds quite similar to Mozambique. I suppose it is just a coincidence. But it seems odd. I can not think of any third location with a similar sounding name.

Question | Ancients with a different profile, where are they?

Thanks. I agree. I was just looking them up. They originate from some particular town in Greece in the vicinity of Sparta. If these statues were faithfully copied, it seems like it would indicate the people in that place at that time must have had faces like this. So it seems that in N Africa...

this seems to be the architect Henry Vaughan (architect) - Wikipedia This person may possibly also be involved Hammatt Billings - Wikipedia What further investigation would you recommend from this point? Just by the name, I think the 2nd one is most likely descended from the Pilgrims. But...
