Another Perspective: Antarctica and Oceans at Center of Mapped Earth

I came across this article here of a 1942 map that puts Antarctica and Earth's oceans at the center. It's called the Spilhaus Projection, and I think this is the original article about it (website is in French).

I don't believe this is how our Earth really is, with island Antarctica and the oceans in the middle of all other land masses. As is evident by the Bering Strait (Détroit de Béring) being on the map in two different locations.

That said, this map gives another perspective of how all the conventional oceans are connected around Antarctica. I thought it was interesting and figured you all would find it interesting too.

Well, technically you can center the map on any part of the globe and have it be "in the middle" of everything. In this type of map it makes sense to center it on one of the poles.

Edit: Especially if the Hollow Earth hypothesis is true. But even if it's not.
